Academic pressure claims another life at Amity as an engineering student committed suicide citing an inability to cope up with the exam pressure as the reason.
Hailing from Jaipur, Mihir Mathur, a 23 year old student was staying at a paying guest house near the campus in Noida and wasn’t seen depressed before. When his friends repeatedly tried to wake him up at 8 am for the coaching classes but got no response from his side, they broke into the room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
Suicide note clearing all the doubts pointed towards academic pressure, as he had flunked in a subject and even pleaded apology from his loved ones.
Local police rushed to the spot while the doctors declared him brought dead. His parents were informed of the incident, who never sensed any depression or academic pressure before.
Academics is meant to give a new hope to life, a vision to work for, but academic pressure is claiming more lives than before. Actions need to be worked upon before academic pressure destroys more lives than it lights up.
