It’s that time of the year again, when everything seems monotonous, you feel bored and restless. Yes, it’s exam time. It’s that time of the year when you need some real motivation and inspiration.
I know by now, you must have read 50 revision tips and maybe some inspirational quotes and that too, like a thousand times. So, I thought I’ll give you a list of movies to keep that motivation high. (Watch them in your break time, only)
Now, whenever you’re on a break just grab some food, your laptop, get comfy and watch any of the movies listed below to get the motivation to carry on.
1) GOOD WILL HUNTING (1997)
Could you unlock a secret talent? A janitor at MIT is incredibly gifted in maths and chemistry but doesn’t realise what his potential can offer.
This film will inspire you to discover hidden talents you may have – perhaps by using a different part of your brain. The movie is about embracing the activities that we love, but also the many problems that can come with this.
By realizing what matters most to us we can understand the value that we can offer to the world. This is the go-to inspirational movies for number-crunchers.
2) STAND AND DELIVER (1988)
Are you an “outside the box” learner? An idealistic mathematics teacher encourages his “no-hoper” students to study and further their education by adopting unconventional teaching methods.
Stand and Deliver should offer up some great inspiration for anyone who likes to go against the grain when learning. Stand and Deliver demonstrates that academic success is not out of reach just because of their background or their current struggles. The story demonstrates the possibility open to anyone no matter what they have been told in the past.
3) THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS (2006)
The Pursuit Of Happyness is the amazing real life tale of Chris Gardner who, with the power of hard work and perseverance, takes himself from sleeping on the subway all the way to the millionaire founder of a his own brokerage house.
Never missing an opportunity and studying hard, over a few years Chris works his way up the career ladder from medical equipment salesman to financial hotshot.
If there’s one story that demonstrates that you should never give up, no matter how bad things get, it’s Chris’. The movie shows what persistence really is, and what it means to never give up, no matter what.
4) DEAD POETS SOCIETY (1989)
Robin Williams is on top form as the iconoclastic John Keating, the unconventional English teacher who uses a love of poetry and classic literature to break down barriers at the oppressive Welton Academy.
Keating inspires his young charges to ‘seize the day’, challenge the school’s strict rules, and truly be themselves. One of the great inspirational movies for a literature buff.
Even though this movie can be very sad at times, it motivates and inspires just as much. Great messages are engraved along the storyline of this movie. One of these inspirational messages is that you should go your own path, instead of forcefully trying to fit in.
5) WHIPLASH (2014)
A 19 year old, motivated drummer, Andrew, practices till his hands bleed. He overturns the pressure put on by his mentor, Terrence Fletcher. His seriousness towards his dreams is what we all need, his dedication is MOTIVATIONAL.
This movie makes you want to go all out and do whatever it takes to achieve the big dream that you have set out for yourself. Attack your dreams and become the best at what you do.
I hope these inspirational movies would help you people to get your motivation high and help you in facing the exams bravely. Good Luck for exams!
