PG Admissions: Entrances and Process Guidelines: All the candidates seeking admission to the Postgraduate (PG) / Master’s courses are required to register online.

PG Admissions: Entrances

Here is a list of few important dates:

Start date for online Registration 28th April 2016
Closing date for online Registration 24th May 2016
Dates for the conduct of the Entrance Examinations* 19th – 23rd June 2016
Announcement of Results of Entrance Examinations On or before 4th July 2016
Date to deposit Admission fee (for Shortlisted candidates) On or before 18th July 2016
Commencement of classes 20th July 2016

 

 

Candidates can choose to apply under the following three options: (a) Merit only for previous DU students

(b) Entrance only for students from other universities.

(c) Merit + Entrance. Final Aggregate is the combined total of all the B.A/B.Com/B.Sc. (or equivalent) semesters (or annual) result together.

 

The date of Entrance Examination for different courses will be announced on the PG admission portal.

 

Admit Card’s download link shall be available after 24th May 2016 (closing date of online registration). The duration of entrance examination shall be two hours. The question paper shall be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type, except for some of the foreign language courses including Persian which may have short-answer questions also.

 

The syllabus for the entrance examination of each postgraduate course is the corresponding B.A./B.Com/B.Sc. (or equivalent) syllabus of the University of Delhi or/and given on the respective Department’s website.

 

The date of Entrance Examination for different courses will be announced on the PG admission portal.

 

After completing your application for one course, you can apply in another course using “Apply Now” button on your home area. You need to pay registration fee separately for each of the applied courses. There is an available list of nodal officers for contact for each program that can be downloaded from Portal.
