Endeavoring to promote his upcoming flick, SRK is about to hold a concert at his alma mater itself. And this is why he is the King of Bollywood… In the University of Delhi, the fest season is in it’s full swing. But that is not what the buzz is all about! As a precursor to it’s main event “Confluence”, Hansraj College is making students all around the university go gaga over the Concert, wherein, none other than the ‘King of Bollywood‘ is buzzed to make an appearance. Yes, you heard it right. One of the greatest and the most entertaining actors of all times, Shahrukh Khan (Not to mention the Nation‘s heartthrob), is coming
back to his alma mater, and this is one event one can just NOT afford to miss. Here’s why. Hailing from and born in Delhi, SRK has been a gem to St. Columba’s. According to sources, he had once faked an epileptic fit while in class because his gang felt like bunking. He actually managed to froth in the mouth and his whole group got permission to leave for 3 hours. With more of these funny tales, he is very much likely to keep all his audiences entertained. And not only that, while pursuing honors in Economics at Delhi University’s Hansraj College, he got into drama and acting and met his mentor in
dramatics, Barry John. He apparently chose to act in a play being directed by Barry because it had 82
girls from LSR college (such a smart move, eh?) Apart from his career, Shahrukh’s love life is also
rooted in Delhi itself. While SRK was doing his Economics Hons., his girlfriend Gauri was doing her
History Hons. from LSR. SRK supposedly used to wait outside LSR to meet her. This piece of
information comes from LSR alumni (Love connection through LSR connection!).
Once while in college, when returning from a late night party, SRK’s car was stopped by a “jat” police
officer. The officer asked him tari dikki te ke sae (translation: “what is inside the car trunk”). To this
SRK jokingly replied “2 AK47 aur ek laash“. Thereafter SRK was taken to the police station and got a severe reprimand from the cop (humor has it’s price but still, SRK!) Shahrukh Khan had also been invited to give a public lecture at the University of Edinburgh. As per the concert, apart from some thrilling movie experience related to his upcoming movie, ‘Fan’, we can undoubtedly expect a lot of humorous tales, coupled with a plenty of stories of film-making and talks of Bollywood and it‘s place in the world
cinema – as he always does(as when he gave a lecture at Yale in the US). Shahrukh Khan is probably the biggest film star in the world, at least if you judge by his fan base or his wealth – he is said to be worth $500 million. He has now amassed eight Filmfare Best Actor awards and 14 overall, a record for an actor. And when he makes an appearance, it indeed is something too good to
miss. So, our dear DUiTES, just put on those running shoes and don’t miss the chance to witness THE
MAN in all his glory! You can thank us later btw.
