The fest season is arriving soon and while many of you must be requesting brands for sponsorships, you should never miss out on important things. For instance, have you made a list of all the awesome fests that you are going to attend in Delhi?

Don’t fret if you haven’t because we have. Read on and mark the important dates, y’all!


Mecca

Location: Hindu College, University of Delhi

Mecca 2017 - Hindu College

The fest usually lasts for three days with cultural competitions, workshops, panel discussions taking place from morning until early evening. Upon sunset, celebrity shows are scheduled in the huge college field, with performances and appearances by the biggest names in Bollywood and allied industries. All through, food stalls and tiny shops are open spreading a fate-like environment.

Crossroads

Location: Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi

CrossRoads 2017

Crossroads garner maximum attention for its hefty sponsorships and fancy arrangements. Unlike other colleges, Crossroads has its famous stage shows in the college’s parking area. The fest has never let the university students down, the most famous and trending singers are always performing at SRCC. Other events include debates, workshops, cultural competitions etc.

Rendezvous

Location: IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas

IIT Delhi, one of the premier institutions in the country is no less when it comes to fun and frolic. Their star-studded events and intellectual and witty competitions are a great source of entertainment and learning. The huge campus is an added advantage to the vibe of the festival.

Amity Youth Festival

Location: Amity University, Sec-125, Noida

Amity Youth Festival

Amity University has a footfall of 50,000 students turning up for various events in debating, dance, theatre and other competitions along with the obvious attraction towards enjoying large-scale events towards the evening mostly by their favorite singers. Amity’s open campus and the immense crowd is a colorful experience for all.

Tarang

Location: Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), Kailash Colony

Tarang LSR

 

The reputation of colleges such as LSR stand justified all through the year but the aura sparkles even more during the fest season. The choice of events, competitions and activities are tasteful. The three-day festival is full of dance, storytelling, singing, debating and laughs.

Taarangana

Location: IGDTU, Near Kashmere Gate Metro Station, Delhi

This fest is nothing short of a carnival and every year, it just keeps getting better. This year, the fest will include a choreography competition, a fashion show, a creative writing contest and a lot more. Coming to the star night, the Taarangana’18 hasn’t yet disclosed the name of the artists. But hey, we are assured that the starry night will be.. the best so far.

Tempest

Location: Miranda House College, North Campus, Delhi University

Tempest

Miranda House’s festival, Tempest, is laid elegantly and with grace before the fest season for students to enjoy. The mix of events and performances are always memorable for the audiences. Competitions are held in almost all cultural fields and a fate-like feel is created.

Montage

Location: Jesus and Mary College (JMC), Chanakyapuri

Montage JMC

The annual fest of one of Delhi University’s most reputed colleges, Montage at JMC is not capable of being missed. Called a puller of the best crowd, this festival is enough to blow to minds with creative events and performances lined up for the entertainment of the students.

Confluence

Location: Hansraj College, North Campus, University Of Delhi

Confluence

Hansraj college’s fest is full of fun activities, food options and star-studded performances. This college, in the heart of the north campus, has never failed to impress college students. Confluence 2017 attracted a crowd in huge numbers dancing to the tunes of singers and other performances.

Nexus

Location: Sri Venkateswara College, Dhaula Kuan

Nexus

The three day festival at the University’s beloved ‘Venky’ is a crowd puller with several activities offered to the students. Every year, Nexus surprises its audiences with starry evenings and exciting events and competitions. The college societies organising various events bring about a very positive environment.

Location: Kirori Mal College, North Campus, Delhi University

Rennaisance

Another gem of the north campus of Delhi University, KMC, never fails to spread happiness and enjoyment across the fest season. Right next to Kamla Nagar Market, students are often found irresistibly running to the college field to enjoy the starry evenings. Other events include theatre, dance and cultural activities.

Lashkara

Location: SGTB Khalsa College, North Campus

Lashkara

Khalsa college is known for its vibrancy and enthusiasm and so is its fest, Lashkara. Unlike other north campus fests, Lashkara organises its star-studded performances during the daytime. This promotes the fest among many college students for more suitable timings. Various society conclaves and competitions are also organised.
