“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on television telling you how to do your stuff, then you deserve it.”
India has the world’s largest youth population with 64 percent of its people in the working age group. As per the National Employability Report 2013 for India, 47% graduates are not employable in any sector of the knowledge economy. What could be the reason for the country with the world’s largest employable population having such a gap when it comes to skill set compared to the other countries?
The reason is that majority of the graduates don’t focus on what they love doing, or don’t know what they love. They spend their time doing courses which have little value and attending lectures which don’t interest them and when their college life is over, they wonder what went wrong in the first place?
Young India Challenge is an opportunity to challenge yourself and others in the quest of finding some answers and discovering your true passion. Young India Challenge’s focus is on developing self-awareness, leadership qualities and entrepreneurial outlook to become impact individuals. They believe that we have reached a point in our development where the new generation is demanding a dynamic education, corporate and social system that allows them to do what they love.
It is an excellent opportunity for college students and graduates to discover their passion and meet new exciting friends. It might be your big break to secure some cool internship in the industry of your choice for your future career growth.
The next Young India Challenge is Scheduled on 17th and 18th September 2016, SRCC New Delhi.
